Shedo Empowers Aspiring Entrepreneurs with Successful Social Enterprise Launchpad
Erbil, Iraq – Shedo has successfully concluded its inaugural “Social Enterprise Launchpad,” a dynamic three-day program dedicated to fostering social entrepreneurship in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Held from June 15th to June 17th at the American Corner Erbil, located in the UKH Library, the event brought together a diverse group of individuals and NGOs eager to drive sustainable social impact.
The program was designed to equip participants with a solid foundational understanding of social entrepreneurship principles. Attendees engaged in intensive sessions from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM daily, delving into practical tools and methodologies for creating and sustaining impactful social enterprises. The curriculum focused on fostering creative ideation and practical problem-solving tailored specifically to the unique contexts of Iraq and the KRI.
Implemented by Shedo, the region’s first local social enterprise, the launchpad provided a vital platform for those looking to become more self-sustained and effective in their missions. Participants, ranging from individual aspiring entrepreneurs to established NGOs, worked on developing actionable plans and pilot projects that they can now implement within their communities. The enthusiasm and innovative spirit throughout the workshop have set a strong precedent for the future of social enterprise in the region.
